Game day

Home team. Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL)

Tickets. Terrace (300) level is the go-to value ticket. Kids under 2 are free on a lap. Youth hockey: the Jr. Lightning / Lightning hockey development programs are the team's youth pipeline; ask the group tickets office about team outings. No public youth-hockey-night details found for 2026-27.

Best seats. Terrace-level center ice for value and a full view; lower level behind the net is a strong second choice for kids who want to be close to the action.

Food

Wicked Oak BarbeQue (loaded mac and cheese), Loli's Tacos, Glory Days Grill, Papa Johns, Outback, a Grab N Go Market for hot dogs and pretzels; Michelob Ultra Sky Deck outdoor terrace on the 300 level; gluten-free/vegan options listed.

Parking

Closest covered option is the Pam Iorio Garage; also Tampa Convention Center and Channelside garages plus surface lots (Teal, Florida, Selmon Expressway lots). From the stands

  • Doors open 60 minutes before puck drop for Lightning games (90 for premium), so families who want warmups should be in line about an hour early. source
  • Clear bags are not required, but bags over 12x12x12 in. are turned away and anything bigger than a small wallet-sized bag gets x-rayed at hockey games. Parent/diaper bags are allowed with extra screening. source
  • Strollers are fine: fold them under the seat or check them at Guest Services across from Section 101. There's a nursing room between 129 and 130, and Guest Services lends sensory bags. source
  • Park downtown and ride the free TECO Line Streetcar; it runs about every 15 minutes and stays open late on event nights. source
  • Come early for Ford Thunder Alley, the outdoor pregame plaza with a DJ, vendors and a big screen. The giant lightning-bolt lawn chairs make a good spot for a family photo. source
